Public Tenant Employment Program
The Public Tenant Employment Program (PTEP) provides public housing tenants with opportunities such as accredited training to develop skills, confidence and qualifications and connects people to vacancies that lead to full and/or part time employment.

Employer and Contractors service
The Public Tenant Employment Program (PTEP) assists employers and contractors to find suitable staff for their business needs.
This service is free and whilst it is mainly used by employers who have contracts with the Office of Housing, the service is available to any employer who would like provide opportunities for our clients.
To lodge a vacancy with PTEP complete the Employer Job Vacancy Form.
Once you have employed someone through PTEP you will need to complete the Tenant Employee Registration Form.

Training providers
f you are running accredited training courses in your region and are having difficulty finding students to fill these courses the Public Tenant Employment Program (PTEP) may have students who have expressed interest in doing the courses that you offer.
PTEP will also fund individual students living in public housing who have enrolled in your vocational training courses.
To be funded the following criteria must be met:
- the applicant lives in public housing and has completed a Training Registration form
- the course is approved by PTEP, see list of approved courses
- the course is government funded and a concession rate applies
